Marcus Rogers
Assistant Superintendent
“Preparation breeds confidence, and confidence breeds courage.” That personal motto guides Marcus in his role as Assistant Superintendent at Schaefer General Contracting and reflects a career shaped by leadership, adaptability, and a willingness to keep learning.
Before entering commercial construction, Marcus built a diverse professional background that included serving as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army, working in heavy mechanical and industrial maintenance environments, and pursuing entrepreneurship in the service industry. He later earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville. Together, those experiences developed the problem-solving, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills he now brings to the jobsite.
Marcus approaches each day prepared, humble, and ready to learn. While the technical details of construction are important, he believes successful leadership ultimately comes down to people. His military experience taught him to take the responsibility of leadership seriously and reinforced his belief that strong leaders take the time to understand and support the individuals they are asking to follow them.
That philosophy shapes how Marcus works with teams and trade partners in the field. He has tremendous respect for the men and women whose skills and hard work bring a project to life and sees his role as helping provide the purpose, direction, and motivation they need to succeed.
As Marcus continues growing within the construction industry, he brings a fresh perspective backed by years of leadership experience. His goal isn’t simply to help build successful projects—it’s to help create prepared, confident teams capable of building them together.
