Katelyn Groves

Superintendent

Katelyn Groves brings a hands-on, field-first perspective to her role as a Construction Superintendent, with roots in the industry that began at a young age. Growing up, she spent her summers working alongside her father in his stucco business—what started as time spent observing quickly turned into active participation, learning the trade and gaining early exposure to both labor and field management.

After exploring roles outside of construction early in her career, Katelyn found her way back to the field, where she discovered her passion for building and leading teams. She gained experience in concrete work before stepping into a foreman role, overseeing project completions and closeouts for storage facilities, car washes, and gas stations.

For the past three years at Schaefer General Contracting, Katelyn has continued to build on that foundation, leading multi-family rehabilitation projects as well as contributing to the successful delivery of a ground-up medical facility. Her strengths lie in field leadership, coordination, and conflict resolution—ensuring projects stay on track while maintaining strong relationships across teams.

Katelyn is known for her dedication to clear communication, responsiveness, and accountability. She approaches every project with a commitment to meeting schedules, supporting her clients, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. As a leader, she prioritizes respect and team culture, believing that strong projects are built by teams that feel valued and aligned.
