Jorge Rivera
Superintendent
Jorge brings nearly two decades of construction experience to his role as Superintendent at Schaefer General Contracting, with a career built from the ground up. His early experience in hotel and commercial building maintenance introduced him to the importance of coordinating subcontractors and vendors, managing schedules, and keeping work moving efficiently within active facilities.
In 2007, Jorge transitioned into construction, beginning as a laborer and working his way into Superintendent and Project Manager roles over the course of more than 15 years.
His range of experience has shaped Jorge into a well-rounded field leader with strengths in project management, scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving. Having worked his way through different levels of the construction process, he understands both the day-to-day realities of the jobsite and the larger picture required to successfully move a project forward.
Communication is central to Jorge’s leadership style. Clients, trade partners, and team members rely on him to provide clear direction, coordinate the many moving pieces of a project, and keep everyone working toward the same goal. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Jorge is also able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of teams and trade partners in the field.
Above all, Jorge believes in leading by example. His experience, hands-on perspective, and commitment to keeping people informed and projects on track help to create the trust and collaboration behind Schaefer’s mission of Building Confidence with good people, for good people.
