Conner O’Bryan
Construction Manager
From service calls and small construction projects to full tenant improvement renovations, Conner oversees a fast-moving and varied workload as Construction Manager for Schaefer General Contracting’s Service team. Staying organized and adaptable is essential in an environment where priorities can shift quickly, and Conner brings a calm, steady approach to keeping projects and people moving forward.
His construction career began while he was still in high school, servicing and building in-ground pools. He later moved into residential homebuilding as a Superintendent before joining Schaefer, where he oversaw renovation projects in occupied senior living environments. In August 2024, Conner helped launch Schaefer’s Service division alongside Mickey and Eric. Today, he oversees projects across the division, from everyday service needs to large-scale renovations.
Conner takes particular pride in keeping his word. When he tells a customer that Schaefer will take care of a problem, he considers it his responsibility to make sure that happens. That sense of ownership extends beyond the client relationship. He recognizes that a strong Service operation also creates opportunities for Schaefer’s trade partners and their employees, making each successful project part of a larger network of relationships.
In a part of the business where urgent needs and high-pressure situations are part of the job, Conner believes a calm demeanor and mutual respect go a long way. He works to build relationships with clients and trade partners by listening, communicating clearly, and treating people well.
For Conner, confidence is earned through consistency: do what you say you’re going to do, take care of the people who rely on you, and stand behind the work you deliver.
"Do it right. Do it once."
