Chris Mitchell
Superintendent
With nearly 30 years in commercial construction, Chris has spent his career learning the industry from the ground up. He began as a laborer in 1997, moved into a foreman role shortly after, and eventually advanced to superintendent. Chris joined Schaefer General Contracting in 2010 and has been leading projects in the field ever since.
Years of hands-on experience have made problem-solving one of Chris’s greatest strengths. He understands how to assess challenges in the field, coordinate the work ahead, and make decisions that keep a project moving without losing sight of the details. His experience also gives him a strong perspective on scheduling and field leadership, particularly when multiple teams and priorities need to come together.
Safety, quality, and teamwork guide the way Chris approaches every project. He believes getting the job done on time matters, but so does getting it done right. That means maintaining a safe jobsite, holding the work to a high standard, communicating with the people involved, and addressing issues before they become larger problems.
Chris brings a steady, experienced presence to the jobsite and takes pride in delivering work that both Schaefer and its clients can stand behind. After decades in the field, his priorities remain straightforward: take care of the team, pay attention to the details, solve the problems in front of you, and deliver a quality project every time.
"A goal without a plan is just a wish."
