Schaefer Acquires South-Co Building Contractors

2018 has been a year of growth and positive change for Schaefer. We embrace the challenge of continuing a legacy built upon a foundation of quality and integrity. Our clients are confident in our ability to deliver their construction projects and give them a project experience that they have not found elsewhere. New client relationships continue to be cultivated and our local team has grown to include new field, project management and administrative team members.

Many may know that throughout our history, we have completed projects spanning over half of the country; some of our clients have national footprint, for which their construction needs require a partner that understands them and fulfill those projects outside of Kentucky. Recent project volumes have caused us to evaluate the need to expand our staff and presence, to better serve clients in our home market as well as others. It is with excitement we announce the opening of Schaefer General Contracting Services, Florida office. In October, we acquired South-Co Building Contractors, an established firm with shared values and expertise. Their project portfolio compliments Schaefer’s and adds industrial and public sector experience to the whole.
