Schaefer partnered with Springhurst Pines to deliver a $5.2 million, 25,000-square-foot addition that enhances the center’s continuum of care. The expansion added 40 private skilled nursing rooms designed for both short- and long-term rehabilitation, along with an enlarged physical therapy area that now serves residents and outpatients alike.

To maintain cost efficiency and project momentum, Schaefer utilized a panelized construction system—streamlining the build without compromising quality. The addition also introduced three spacious dining and lounge areas, a large sitting room, and fully accessible showers in each private room.

With this expansion, Springhurst Pines strengthens its commitment to providing comprehensive health, rehabilitation, and therapy services—including physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy—within a comfortable, state-of-the-art environment.
