The Mansion at Log Still Distillery

Rooted in faith, family, and a deep respect for history, Log Still Distillery is a testament to the vision of Wally, Lynne, and Charles Dant. Their mission to restore and revitalize this storied property offers bourbon enthusiasts an immersive experience, blending tradition with modern hospitality.

As part of this transformation, Schaefer was honored to restore The Mansion, a 5,000 SF historic home on the distillery’s grounds. Our team meticulously reconstructed the first and second floors, basement, and all three porches, ensuring the home retained its original charm while meeting modern standards. The renovation included updating three bathrooms and a kitchen, installing new windows, restoring the brickwork and intricate exterior trim moldings, and implementing waterproofing measures. To enhance accessibility and functionality, we also added ADA-compliant features, improved parking, and refreshed the landscaping. A highlight of the project was the careful restoration of the home’s original staircase, preserving a piece of its rich history.
