Site/Facility Assessments

Site/Facility Assessments

Prior to actually purchasing an existing building or parcel of land, our clients understand the value of bringing us into the equation early in their decision-making process. This allows us to evaluate their potential purchase as it relates to their needs and expectations. With our site / facility assessments, we work directly with the owner to evaluate the overall building and site conditions BEFORE a deposit of money is placed on a new piece of ground or before any adaptive reuse of an existing building is ever started.

Our clients range from owners who are relocating to a new site where minor renovations are needed on an existing building or they’re purchasing land to build a new facility. This is where our team can REALLY shine!

Not only can we assess the current condition of the existing structure to make our client aware of any potential deficiencies which could increase development costs, but we also can prepare price estimates to assist with their budgets.

We partner with the architectural and structural teams to develop a schematic design plan and work out all pricing details. A few times our client has decided not to purchase the property because we’ve been able to uncover issues which  would make the project economically unfeasible.

Our pre-purchase evaluation process is a collaborative effort between all parties to develop conceptual budgets and reduce risk. To be successful, this process should include the owner, architect, design-build consultants and structural engineers. Our goal is to eliminate surprises before and during construction and to, ultimately, build the project as cost-effectively as possible.
