At SCHAEFER, Cost Management is a critical process which requires the integration of separate disciplines and the involvement of many persons. To be successful, it's important that we involve all decision makers in the very early planning stages, to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goal.  

SCHAEFER's Cost Management Plan (CMP) clearly defines the specifics for how the costs on your project will be managed throughout your project's lifecycle. All of our projects are managed and measured by success criteria of several types, including, but not limited to: Cost, Time, Quality, Safety, Contingencies and Value-Engineered Savings for the Owner. 

Our Project Managers utilize project tracking software, which is fully integrated with construction accounting, management, scheduling and mobile field software, which also allows us to accurately track job costing, equipment and various purchasing transactions related to your job. At a glance, we're able to effectively monitor your project's actual costs against your budget and, if our Project Manager's identify any variances, they can correct them right away. 

Finally, our CMP is effective because our Project Managers are continually interacting with the Owner, sub-contractors, suppliers and our in-house accounting staff to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Our methodologies are proven to be successful, which is why we repeat them from project to project.

Cost Management

Having three licensed commercial pilots on staff, in addition to our own corporate aircraft, allows the Schaefer team to respond quickly and effectively, no matter the distance. To date, we’ve worked in 34 states, and have long-standing relationships with proven sub-contractors and suppliers throughout the country.
